As a business owner I want to enter "Themes" that my company is working on over multiple quarters (likely, annually) to which Objectives can be ties so that I can feel confident my quarterly objectives are supporting my longer-term strategy.
Discussion:
  • Leaders often set somewhat broad, longer-term (e.g. annual) objectives with their Board of Directors & other stakeholders (e.g. staff) to set out outcomes they wish to reach by a time beyond a quarter. Quarterly objectives should be in service of those themes.
It would be nice if Objectives could be "tagged" with association with those themes - vs. creating yet-another layer of hierarchy - especially since it's possible a quarterly objective might be in service of several annual themes.
